JEM Kit 3N2
In late 2001 work was completed on the Hawthorn Tramways Trust bogie car kit 3N6. This kit is quite complex and like the SEC car kit 3N2, should be attempted only by experienced and patient kit builders. RRP is A$109.70. Motorising this kit is best achieved with a David Voice maximum traction truck kit.
JEM Kit 3N6
Early in October 2007 the SEC maximum traction car became available in kit form, JEM Kit 3N6. These cars were originally the HTT bogie cars and subsequently modified and used in Geelong, Bendigo and Ballarat. Only experienced model builders should attempt working with this kit. RRP is A$109.70. Motorising this model is best achieved with a David Voice maximum traction truck kit.
JEM Kit 5G2 and 5G6 - "The Birney"
In February 1996, two Birney kits were available from JEM. Kit 5G2 covers the four Birneys as operated on the Port Adelaide system, and 5G6 represents these same cars in their final form in Bendigo, in the Australian state of Victoria, after their transfer from Geelong. The simple design of these kits makes them an ideal project for the new-comer, while still providing a worth-while model for the more discerning collector. These cars are in regular tourist operation in Bendigo in both forms. Note that they are LEFT HANDED compared with those of their homeland, the USA. They are designed to be powered by a Tenshodo SPUD WB28 and to use a Precision Scale kit-built trolley pole. RRP is A$61.65.
